Universe Annihilation is a depiction of my direct family dynamic and my construal of how alcohol and addiction shaped our family dynamic. The four planets represent my mother, my sister, my father, and myself. I perceive my life and my world as my universe, which is most strongly tied to my direct family members. The eye is my own eye. The idea is that the eye is being fuelled by red wine, annihilating universe. Of course it is only my own eye and my own perception of the events that occurred that shape this perception I have. I understand that my family history is much more complex than just alcohol and addiction, but growing up and being a young child in a house of chaos and madness, I perceived alcohol to be the driving factor for the violence and fighting.
