JAN’S POEMS & RIDDLES
Chiaroscuro…
The devil carries a double edge blade with no handle,
Use his sword in battle and you will end up cutting
Your own hand.
Your personal disgrace is reflected in your actions,
And your true colours are shown,
When you are alone,
In the dark.
Move towards the light, for the darkness will blind
You.
Truth can be hard to find when darkness surrounds it.
Seek awareness, as the shadows of the night,
Appear in beautiful figures,
And will mislead you,
Into a never-ending circle.
Break-Through…
The lies of the world are shallow,
but the pain it withholds is deep.
The truth you believe manifesto,
stop looking and you will see.
Meet the chief…
To know the chief more deeply, you must look him in the eyes,
You must walk upon his back, to where the eagles touch the sky,
You must know the trail he made, for you and for I, the trail that we can walk on, that makes us feel alive.
Well I don’t know what you’ve been through, or where your heart has hurt, but if you come with me to meet the chief, i’ll let you wear my shirt,
And we can talk about our loneliness, and look forward to better times, we can meet the chief, and our way we can stop to write some rhymes,
‘Cuz wherever you I go, and wherever I go you, will walk with me, unto this path that we chose to pursue,
The mountain peak is calling, for us to find our way,
A reflection of our reality, foreshadows and blows away.
